I searched the fridge looking for a sandwich or roll but couldn't find anything so I ask the assistant who was stocking the fridge and she reached straight for the wraps, so I asked is that gluten free? and she double checked the packaging before replying yes. Oh I said I never knew you did gluten free wraps I was looking for a roll.
So there were two options in the Urban Eat Gluten Free Range, Lemon Chicken or Egg, I opted for chicken.
The first thing I could smell was lemon, so was a bit unsure of whether I would like it, there seemed to be a lot of salad compared to chicken and I immediately thought that they had skimped on the filling.
However when I took my first bite, it didn't taste as lemony as it smelt, that was a plus, but the first bite was mainly salad. I continued on and was not disappointed, so maybe it was just how they distributed the filling when it was made.
The wrap was similar too the warburtons wrap but not sure if that is what they used as I don't see it anywhere on the packaging.
All in all it was tasty. I do wish though that there are more options than chicken or egg, I know M&S do a ham or a cheese but I do not like the bread that they use (too many seeds and it falls apart in your hands.
I didn't even look at the price when I picked it up, I tend not to when I shop for gluten free products because otherwise I would starve! But the receipt says £2.90 which is about right
