I had been hearing a lot about these Kabuto Rice Noodles and was tempted to try them as they are like your "pot noodles" in the sense where you just need to add boiling water, however there are two differences. One, they have a gluten free option and two, there is no "flavour sachet"!
So after searching high and low throughout my local Wholefoods store all I could find were the non gluten free versions, big fail.
Then i finally found them at the Allergy and Free From show, where I got to try them before I bought I bought them.
So I got two of the chicken flavour rice noodles and silly me did not even check the ingredients first as I noticed when I got home that they have soya and lactose in them.
The instructions are pretty simple, peel back lid, add boiling water, cover and wait for two mins, then stir and cover again for 1 min.
Once it's done there is a lot of noodles! The flavour is good, sauce is kinda watery for me, you need a spoon and a fork. What I didn't like was the dried bits of chicken, obviously this can't be helped for the kind of product it is, but maybe it could have done without it.
All in all it's a good cupboard filler, something to grab when or the go or late at night when you can't be bothered to cook.
